Aloo tamatar sabzi (Potato and tomato vegetable)


2 medium potatoes cut into cubes

3 medium tomatoes

1/2 teaspoon turmeric

1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds

1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder

1/2 teaspoon coriander powder

pinch of asafoedita

4 to 5 curry leaves

1/2 inch crushed ginger


little sugar



Take a pan, heat oil. Add mustard seeds let it splatter. Now add curry leaves, asafoedita, chopped tomatoes, chopped potatoes, coriender powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder, crushed ginger, salt and sugar. Mix it all well. Add 1/2 cup water and let it cook until potatoes are soft. Leave a little gravy so you can enjoy it with roti or bread or poori.

kids love aaloo poori.
